Meet at Durango Casino for Carpool
(To minimize our environmental footprint and to ensure others have a place to park, Carpooling is required for this trip. $25 per person to the driver for gas)

Meet at Durango Casino multi-level Self Parking Area 4C. (If you go in from the main parking area, keep driving until you see multi-level parking lot. The entrance to self-parking area is to the side. Level 4 - C

It generally takes 2-2.5 hrs to get to Death Valley so here's the iternary:

1. Badwater basin - Meet here at 10am

- It will be muddy so bring something to clean your foot or sneakers.

2. golden-canyon / zabriskie-point:

There's a trail that goes from one end to the other. It's a moderate hike for experienced hikers. This is GPS to trail heads:

Option 1 - drive to the each trail head and do short hikes.

Option 2 - (Only if someone has alltrails or map of terrain) Break up into 2 groups (Easy and Moderate), both hike 45 min into canyon. Easy will return to car and drive to endpoint. Moderate will continue hike and meet Easy at endpoint.

What to bring:
Although it's chilly in Vegas but it can still get pretty warm in Death Valley.

- Dress in layers and wear synthetic material clothing.
- Hiking shoes or sneakers with traction
- Hat / Sunglasses / Sunscreen

- Lunch
- 2-3 Liters of water.

- Fun and adventurous attitude
