Vegas Bitcoiners

Vegas Bitcoiners was created to help organize and foster the Bitcoin community in the Las Vegas Valley. We welcome all levels of Bitcoiners, whether you are highly experienced or completely new and eager to learn.

We meet regularly for casual discussions on topics like the Bitcoin protocol and software, economics, trading, storage techniques, investing, mining, and more. Come out to meet, learn from, and share ideas with fellow Bitcoiners!

BE ADVISED: We are a Bitcoin focused group here to help people learn and talk about Bitcoin and not a "blockchain" or "cryptocurrency" group. There are plenty of those around Vegas. We're Bitcoiners here to talk Bitcoin.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Our Bitcoin meetup is a space for open discussion, collaboration, and networking among people interested in Bitcoin. To foster a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment, we ask all participants to follow these guidelines:

Respect Everyone

• Treat everyone with courtesy and respect, regardless of their experience level, background, or opinions.
• Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language or behavior.

Be Open to Diverse Opinions

• Encourage constructive discussions, even when views differ.
• Avoid unnecessary arguments or personal attacks.

Protect Privacy

• Respect others’ privacy and personal information. Do not take photos, record conversations, or share personal details without consent.
• Do not ask for or reveal sensitive financial information like wallet balances or private keys.

Avoid Scams and Misinformation

• Refrain from promoting scams, fraudulent projects, or misleading information.
• Stay focused on Bitcoin; discussions about unrelated or dubious cryptocurrencies should be kept minimal and constructive.

No Solicitation

• Avoid unsolicited pitches, whether for investments, businesses, or services. If you wish to share your project, ask for consent before doing so.

Respect the Venue

• Follow the rules and policies of the venue.
• Be mindful of noise levels and keep the space clean and organized.

Help Build the Community

• Be welcoming to newcomers and encourage learning and growth.
• Share your knowledge and help others understand Bitcoin and its ecosystem.

Stay Safe and Ethical

• Do not engage in illegal activities or encourage others to do so.
• Be cautious and responsible when discussing security practices, trading, or investments.

Participate Actively but Respect Time

• Ask thoughtful questions and contribute meaningfully to discussions.
• Allow everyone a chance to speak and avoid dominating conversations
