This hike goes to a cave that is less secret than it used to be. There could be a lot of people there, but it's still fund to scramble up and admire the inside of the cave as well as the view outside of it.

The trail head for this hike is over a dirt road that can be difficult for some cars, but regular passenger vehicles have been able to make it. Even with the difficult road, parking can still be a problem, so we have to start early.

We'll start out with a relatively flat trail that goes past a few scenic spots and then head up to the cave. The trail to the cave is unmarked, making it more difficult to find.

After we visit the cave, we'll get into the brush with a shortcut that makes it to the flat point that is very scenic. On a clear day the views can stretch for miles. It's a great view of Sedona.

From there we'll be heading back down to the trail head using a separate trail. The entire hike is less than 5 miles and the overall gain is about 1000 feet.

There will be a 3 mile option that will take you to another spectacular cave where you can get a picture to post on your favorite social media.
