Linda Brock Memorial Route - Eleven Year Memorial

Linda Brock was a friend of ours and a member of our hiking family. She was an excellent scrambler and she played competition-level tennis. She had a wonderful outlook on life and it reflected through her interactions with us all.

We lost Linda when she had an accident and fell from one of the rocks. She came to rest just below what we call "heart rock"

I renamed this route the "Linda Brock Memorial" route for us to always remember her. The route has been copied by many other organizers, using many other names, but this is the original and it's named after Linda.

• You must have done one of my Tier 3 or higher hikes with me.

HIKE DESCRIPTION

This hike features Peter's (not so) secret slot. It's a slot that is so well hidden that you could be 5 feet from it and not know it was there. The route on this hike starts out along a well-traveled trail and then diverts along a slot that is not heavily used. We then weave around to the other side of the rock before heading back down. There are lots of obstacles to play on, some of which have a little exposure.

This is the original route. There are at least half of dozen copies of this route and numerous copies of the copies. For that reason, I will not be varying the route.

• Helmets are always welcome. Be sure to use one that doesn't block your sight.

• Always carry "in case of emergency" numbers with you.

• No guests will be allowed without my prior approval.

YOU MUST BE ON THE "GOING" LIST IN ORDER TO GO ON THIS HIKE. CRASHING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
