Thornhill Broome State Beach, formerly known as La Jolla Beach,
35 miles north of Santa Monica is one of the few places in California that allows camping right on the beach. The sandy beach makes a nice place to enjoy the sun or stroll nearly 1½ mile along the surf line. You can choose to hike or just relax by the beach. There are more than 70 miles of hiking trails nearby to choose from. The beach also features swimming, surfing and fishing. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer. Bring food, BBQ, or just eat out at the many places along the PCH. (Malibu Seafood is highly recommended. Fish and chips on the patio). Trances Market (grocery store) is 10 miles South of campground.

Carpool: You need to arrange your own carpool from Las Vegas
Bring: The usual camping gear. Canopy if you have one, firewood, water shoes. Food must be secured at all times, the Seagulls are worse than Squirrels.
Camping Cost: $25.00 per person total. Pay by PayPal saliabadi@verizon.net (Non refundable)
Parking: $12.00 per car, per day
Firewood Policy: Burning firewood, and charcoal briquettes in the fire rings is allowed when fire level permits (determined on a day by day basis). Check the sign near the entrance to the park for the day's fire levels.
Restroom: Clean Porta Potty
Showers: The hot showers are token-operated 2 miles south of campground. The token machines accept ONLY dollar bills.
