Mt Charleston Mid-Week Training Hike - Stanley B to Ridge Saddle

📌 This hike starts at the Stanley B pull-off and goes up a pleasant trail in the woods with several easy rock features to navigate. At a junction (see photo above), we will go to the right past two abandoned mines and climb to a saddle with a magnificent view below the Cockscomb ridge.

Elevation Gain: 1,200 feet
Altitude: 7,200 feet to 8,400 feet
Difficulty: Moderate
Class: Class 1 and 2 trail
Exposure: None
Pace: Slow to Moderate
Duration: 4.0 hours driving and hiking
GEAR:
Hiking boots or trail shoes are required
Trekking poles are optional
You should always carry a windbreaker or rain jacket, warm gloves and hat for any hikes in the Mt Charleston area.
No pets or children. You must be on the Going list to attend.
All attendees must be members of VegasHikers. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up & it's FREE.
Meet in Santa Fe Casino East parking garage 3rd floor, turn left, section 3F. There are two garages; one is visible from Hwy 95 (that is the wrong garage); the other is closer to the intersection of Lone Mtn Road and Rancho (that is the correct garage). We will form carpools for the drive to the trailhead. Each passenger is asked to pay their driver $5.
If the garage is still closed, park in the surface lot nearest to the self-parking garage entrance and look for a red SUV.
