๐ This is one of the classic hikes in Red Rock with a little bit of everything: desert trail, boulder scrambling, steep scree, sandstone slabs, a rabbit hole, and class 3 climbing with minor exposure. It is exhausting with considerable elevation gain but the summit views are spectacular and worth the effort.
This hike is cross-posted with the 52 Peak Club/Founder's Deck.

This hike is in the Red Rock Canyon scenic loop area and is deemed an intermediate level scramble for the purposes of the Scrambling Skills pin.
Scrambling is not hiking; it is climbing up, down, over, under, around and through rocks. If you are new to scrambling, you will learn about different techniques, terminology, gear and safety; all while being amongst the most amazing people and scenery in Las Vegas. Scrambling is challenging and FUN for anyone who enjoys adventure and doesn't mind a few scratches or bruises along the way.
