๐ We will hike across the desert, enter the North Fork of Pine Creek (locally referred to as Fern Canyon), and stroll past ponds where ferns grow naturally under a shade canopy of trees. There will also be bushwhacking and scrambling over and around boulders to a trickling waterfall. From there, we will climb up to a rock shelf overlooking the canyon with magnificent views in all directions.
For those interested, we may adventure beyond into another canyon to explore an exhilarating area, or go a short distance up the Bridge Vista and Bridge Point route.

Scrambling is not hiking; it is climbing up, down, over, under, around and through rocks. If you are new to scrambling, you will learn about different techniques, terminology, gear and safety; all while being amongst the most amazing people and scenery in Las Vegas. Scrambling is challenging and FUN for anyone who enjoys adventure and doesn't mind a few scratches or bruises along the way.
A "Scrambling Skills" pin is now available to anyone who completes at least one each of Beginner Level, Advanced Beginner Level, Beginner Intermediate Level, and Intermediate Level "Scrambling Skills" hikes.
We will meet in the Red Rock Casino West garage (visible from Hwy 215) on the 4th floor, turn left, section 4D and form carpools for the drive to Pine Creek Trailhead. If you have a Red Rock or National Parks pass, please bring it along with photo ID.
