REQUIREMENTS FOR SIGN UP - NO EXCEPTIONS

• You must have hiked with me on a Tier 5 hike.

HIKE DESCRIPTION

On this route we'll head up to a peak that is not commonly visited. Along the way we'll go up steep slabs and wind through many technical obstacles. We'll be going up steep hills so be prepared for some work on your lungs. On the way down we'll go through a lot more obstacles and we'll finish by coming straight down from the balcony.

The peak on this hike has some nice views of the Park and the City. We will see some tanks that most people don't see and we'll admire the amazing colors and formations. I've seen some wildlife on this route, but mostly birds and lizards. As always, we'll keep an eye out for them. You can check out my wildlife gallery for some of my favorite pictures of animals I've seen.

Not for beginners or those afraid of heights. There are many places that require advanced scrambling skills on this hike and there is some exposure as well. It requires experience and technique. You must be able to lift yourself up and lower yourself down using your arms.

Helmets are always welcome. Be sure to use one that doesn't block your sight.

Always carry "in case of emergency" numbers with you.

No guests will be allowed on this hike.

YOU MUST BE ON THE "GOING" LIST IN ORDER TO GO ON THIS HIKE. CRASHING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.

The meet location will be sent by message or text only to people who are going.
