🌿Starting from the remote Harris Springs Road trailhead, this route to Griffith Peak offers a quieter, more rugged alternative to the popular South Loop version. The trail gradually climbs toward the saddle between Harris Mountain and Griffith Peak, rewarding hikers with sweeping views of the surrounding Spring Mountains before making a steeper push to the 11,064-foot summit. Requiring HCVs to reach the trailhead & solid fitness for the challenging climb, the experience offers one of the finest summit panoramas in Southern Nevada.

• Duration: ≈ 8 hours (includes hiking & driving)

🎒GEAR:

• Hiking boots or trail shoes are required
• Trekking poles are optional but very helpful
• 2-3L of water, sun protection, snacks & electrolytes
• Carry a windbreaker, warm gloves, & appropriate headwear when hiking in the Mt Charleston area

• No guests, children/minors, canines, or event crashers, please!
• Everyone starts on the Waitlist. You must be on the Going list to attend.
• All attendees must be members of VegasHikers. Signing up only takes a couple of minutes, and it's FREE.

🚙MEETUP/CARPOOL LOCATION:
Meet in Santa Fe Casino East parking garage, 3rd floor, turn RIGHT, then right again, go halfway back, Section 3C. We will form carpools for the drive to the trailhead. Please contribute toward your driver's fuel costs.
