This long, challenging hike is best suited for experienced, physically fit hikers comfortable with sustained mileage and significant elevation change.
── .✦
There are Grand Canyon hikes—and then there are hikes that give you the full Grand Canyon experience.
This classic adventure combines three distinctly different sections of trail into what is easily one of the best day hikes in the Grand Canyon: the sweeping ridgelines of South Kaibab, the rugged solitude of the Tonto Plateau, and the legendary climb up Bright Angel back to the South Rim.
A descent, a traverse & a climb. Three iconic trails. One seriously good day below the rim.
