Questions or Comments: text Jim at 702-515-9824.

Please answer each question separately when you RSVP:
Q1. What is your cell number?
Q2. Do you have a strong 4WD HCV with 4 seatbelts, the ability to drive it on a very rugged road with boulders; and if yes, what is the make and model?
Please respond in this format: 1. xxx-xxx-xxxx, 2. No (or) Yes, Jeep Rubicon with skid plates, Toyota Tacoma, etc.

Hikers can only be added in conjunction with confirmed 4WD high clearance vehicles. Rocky Gap Road is in horrible condition and takes almost an hour driving it each way but saves 9 miles of hiking. Each rider must pay their driver $20 for the ride of their life!

📌 In my opinion, this is the best hike and scramble in Las Vegas. It is a serious climb for serious scramblers. The summit block is unique and magnificent. There are no ropes, but it is breathtaking and quite the adrenaline rush.

This event is cross-posted with 52 Peak Club Founder's Deck.

HIKE QUICK STATS:
Trailhead: Bridge Mtn trailhead at the crest of Rocky Gap Road
Distance: 7.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 2,270 feet
Summit: 6,940 feet
Class: 2, 3, 4
Exposure: Yes
Difficulty: 4, Very strenuous
Duration: 6.5 hours hiking + 2.5 hours driving
Pace: Moderate

Gear:
Approach shoes are required. I recommend starting with hiking boots and trekking poles for the trail portion, and then stashing them and changing into approach shoes when we reach the sandstone.

Everyone starts on the Waitlist. You must be on the Going list to attend.
Safety is the first priority of the hike. All hikers are expected to stay with the group, and to stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.

We'll meet in Red Rock Casino West parking garage, 3rd floor, turn left northwest corner section 3D to form carpools and caravan to the trailhead. Arrive 10 minutes early so we can leave by 6:00am.

If you have a Red Rock or National Park pass, please bring it along with photo ID.

A "Scrambling Skills" pin is available to anyone who completes at least one each of Beginner Level, Advanced Beginner Level, Beginner Intermediate Level and Intermediate Level "Scrambling Skills" hikes.
I consider this hike to be at least Advanced Intermediate Level.

Directions: from Hwy 215, take the exit for W Charleston Blvd and go east to the Red Rock Hotel & Casino. We will meet in the West garage (visible from Hwy 215) on the 3rd floor, turn left, go all the way back to the northwest corner of section 3D, and form carpools for the drive to the trailhead. If you have a Red Rock park pass, please bring it along with photo ID.
