some updates...Superfood bar, Rambla...

Hey Gang,
Just some updates!

Superfood Bar now has LOCATION #2 inside of Mardi Gras Zone in the Bywater with Monday-Thursday 11am-3pm hours.  Please give them your support, you can find them tucked away in the corner by the pizza area, no signs yet, just a rolling cart.  If you have not yet joined their Facebook page, please give them a "like" here

Also, sorry to say...we had a great start at Rambla and thanks for those that came out and enjoyed it, but the restaurant has filed for Bankruptcy, yikes! Guess our support came a little too late, they had been in operation for 4 years.  Look out for Chefs Mario and Chris (formerly of Santa Fe Tapas) to be starting up for vegan deliciousness somewhere else soon, they assured me :)

On another side note....a few of us are starting a side project (and need more help with contributions, writing, etc..) of a Vegan and Green Guide to Nola booklet, several of us have started some of the sections.  The booklet is laid out with an intro to veganism, why (health, animal welfare, eco, etc...) then restaurant and cafe resources.  We will be selling advertising space in there to promote our favorites (Wandering buddha, Santa Fe, Peacebaker, etc...).  We would also like to incorporate green businesses like Green project, Green Serene, and more.  We could use some help with writing, suggestions, layout.  Please contact me with your ideas.  We are hoping to produce an annual publication as updates will be needed.  This is a much needed valuable guide that could be places at so many places (including given to Concierges at hotels and more...) and help these great businesses get more foot traffic .  Many of us are really busy and can put in a little, we need some that can do more...please let me and Cassandra (founder of Vegan New Orleans Facebook page now boasting 1062 members!! Give them a "like" here

Happy Friday the 13th!!!!
