Vegan Open-Mic Potluck

Govans Presbyterian Church

You're invited to Earthsave's “Vegan Open Mic Potluck”. Performers are welcome to do a little talk, tell a story, sing a song, tell a joke or do stand-up comedy, poetry, magic, or anything your imagination will allow... as long as it’s family friendly and respectful. You don't have to participate in the open mic. You can just enjoy the great people, food, and entertainment! Everyone’s welcome... vegans, vegetarians, veg curious, or omnivores. Please invite your friends https://www.facebook.com/events/651340922004611/ We really like our current venue - Govans Presbyterian Church is in a quiet neighborhood, next to the historic Senator Theater on York Road in Baltimore. The church parking lot is spacious, well lit, and conveniently located near the entry to the Fellowship Hall, where you will see our large Earthsave banner. If you’d like to entertain us, please email [masked], or call[masked] and let us know what your presentation will be and whether you plan to bring food to share. Performances will be limited to ten minutes, and as time allows, you may get a second opportunity at the mic. We’re looking forward to a fun evening. Please invite your Facebook friends and let us know whether you plan to bring food to share. Hope to see you there! Dinner Guests may choose to either bring a dish made without animal products (to serve 8) plus $5 (members pay just $2) donation; pay $15 (members pay just $12) to enjoy dinner and presentation; or pay $5 for presentation only. We eat first, then make announcements, and then hear the presentation. Let us know in advance, if possible, if you plan to pay for dinner rather than bring a dish. Location visible to members

We are a people-friendly group, and welcome all who are interested in learning a healthier and more peaceful way of eating and living. Members and guests are invited to introduce themselves and let us know what led to your interest in diet and lifestyle change... or you may prefer to ask a question, or ask for advice on a challenge you are facing. You might want to share a life experience or success story... or perhaps an idea about how we might better spread the word to others. Our next gathering will take place at a very popular vegetarian restaurant with wonderful Indian cuisine. It's called Mango Grove. See their website at http://www.themangogrove.net. The location is 8865 Stanford Boulevard, in Columbia, Maryland, 21045. Call them at[masked], or email [masked] . We can choose the buffet for $15.95, or order from the menu, which features lots of vegan items that are clearly indicated. Hope you will join us! You might also like to check out the Baltimore Vegan Meetup group, which is very similar to this one, but meets at Mr. Chan in Pikesville on a Wednesday evening at 7 pm. Combined Veg/Vegan Meetup @ Mr. Chan

Mr. Chan Szechuan Restaurant

Let’s do a combined veg/vegan Meetup at Mr. Chan in Pikesville, MD. Mr. Chan's food is terrific, and the semi-private room that we use is a great place to connect with friendly, like-minded people. We'll share some success stories... and maybe talk about some things that give us hope for the future, and things we do to help lift our spirits. We might also talk about some ways we can help others tune in to the powerful benefits of a whole foods, plant-based diet. Hope you will join us! If you are not already a member, you might also like to join one or both of the monthly discussion groups that I host - the Baltimore Vegetarian Meetup group http://www.meetup.com/vegetarian-9/ and/or the Baltimore Vegan Meetup group http://tinyurl.com/22lsyt7 There’s also a very helpful discussion and support group on Facebook called Earth Friendly Food Choices. Hope you will join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/103906449752363/
