Vegetarian & Vegan Treehugger Junto (Online)

This junto gathering is similar to the original junto (pronounced "joon-tow") that Benjamin Franklin started in Philadelphia back in 1727, in order to built a society of friends dedicated to mutual improvement. I have participated in a few juntos and have always found them uplifting, inspiring, connecting, and interesting. Now, I would like to invite you to participate in a junto.

The most simple way to describe a junto is a talking circle, where we each talk a little and listen a lot. Everyone's stories, ideas, and opinions are honored equally with kind supportive acceptance. The goal of the junto is to improve ourselves and our communities by learning from each other. Conversations are typically centered on a specific topic or question, which are selected by the group.

The structured junto format is well suited for online gatherings. And, one of these days we'll be able to meet in person too!

We will host juntos on an ongoing basis. I am hopeful we will have regular participation so we can build strong friendships with each other.
