🌸 Cherry Blossom Festival 🌸

Virginia Beach Parks Department is hosting its annual Cherry Blossom Festival. 🌸

Together with our sister city, Miyazaki, Japan, we celebrate the blossom season with a variety of programs that promote the rich culture and beauty of Japanese music and art. This week-long celebration includes Japanese Garden Tours, cultural performances, martial arts demos, custom shirts, children’s activities, and more!

NOTE: The food trucks will be on site... but we know they may not be particularly Vegetarian/Vegan friendly, so bring your chairs/blanket and a lunch if you like. We'll have a little picnic. 😄
NEW! On Sunday, March 30, they will be hosting the first Vendor Market! You will find vendors from education to selling merchandise, artwork, snacks, and crafts that reflect Asian culture and cherry blossom themes. *I have scheduled this event for Saturday because most of the activities are on that day, but please feel free to attend either or both days.

• Expect traffic delays near the area during the festival.
• Free Admission
• Free Parking – Grass Field opens at 10 a.m. (Weekends ONLY)
• Limited Accessible Parking Available
• Japanese Garden Parking will be closed.
• Basketball courts will be closed.
• Dog park entrances will be modified.
• Seating is limited, guests are encouraged to bring their own chair.
• Food and drinks available for purchase.
• Due to high traffic in the event area, please use crosswalks when crossing the roads.
• Guests can expect loud noises at the performance stage.
