Socialist Night School: Veganuary for Leftists

Are you politically on the left and curious about Veganuary? Are you a socialist who doesn’t understand the animal rights people? Let’s make space to bridge the gap!
Join us on Saturday, January 17 from 5-7pm at the DSA office (1610 Harrison St., Suite D, downtown Oakland). We’ll discuss the overlap between leftist politics and the animal rights movement over a delicious vegan dinner.

Will be discussing questions like:

• Do factory farms have a place in the better world we’re trying to build?
• Can we sharpen our politics by including animals?
• Can rights for animals be achieved without anti-capitalist strategy?
• How can veganism serve as a form of praxis for leftists?
