The culinary team at Madras Masala is offering us an expansive, fully plant-based menu that showcases seasonal, sustainably sourced ingredients. They are eager to welcome many of us, so feel free to bring a few friends (and please keep your reservation updated if things change so the restaurant can prepare appropriately). APPETIZERS
Gobi 65 : Gobi 65 is a popular South Indian deep-fried cauliflower appetizer featuring crunchy florets tossed in a house special sauce and curry leaf tempering.
Gobi Manchurian : Gobi Manchurian is a wonderful blend of easy Chinese-style cooking with a dash of Indian spices thrown in! It is a popular Indo-Chinese appetizer featuring crispy, batter-fried cauliflower florets tossed in a bold, savory, sweet, and Chef's special sauce.
Medu Vada : Medu Vada is a golden, doughnut-shaped South Indian lentil fritter that is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
Vegetable Pakora : Crispy, golden-fried mixed vegetable fritters coated in a spiced chickpea flour batter.

CURRIES & MAIN DISHES :
Madras Masala Mixed Vegetable Curry : A vibrant melody of garden-fresh vegetables slow-simmered in our signature, aromatic house special curry sauce, infused with traditional South Indian spices. (Vegan, Contains Nuts)
Dal Fry : Dal Fry is a comforting, spiced yellow lentil curry simmered with a fragrant onion-tomato masala, garlic, ginger, and smoky ghee tempering.
Bhindi Masala : Fresh okra lightly pan-fried to perfection, then gently tossed in a tangy, aromatic tomato and caramelized onion masala. Seasoned with traditional Indian ground spices. Vegan and gluten-free. Served with warm roti or basmati rice.
Aloo Palak : Golden potato cubes smothered in a hearty, garlic-forward puréed spinach gravy, finished with a touch of warming garam masala. Served with your choice of warm roti or basmati rice.
Dal Palak : A wholesome and nourishing classic. Creamy split lentils and fresh garden spinach cooked together with caramelized onions, ripe tomatoes, and warm Indian spices, topped with a fragrant garlic and dry chili oil infusion.
Classic Aloo Gobi : Fresh cauliflower florets and diced potatoes sautéed with onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and traditional spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Mixed Vegetable Kurma : A comforting, traditional southern classic. Diced seasonal vegetables cooked in a creamy, mildly spiced onion-tomato base, finished with our chef's signature freshly ground coconut, roasted poppy seed, and cashew paste.
Vegetable Chettinad : A fiery, aromatic South Indian curry featuring garden-fresh mixed vegetables simmered in a rich, freshly ground roasted spice and coconut masala.
Vegetable Vindaloo : A fiery and intensely flavorful traditional Goan curry. A hearty blend of fresh potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, and green beans simmered in a sharp, tangy tomato-and-vinegar sauce. Infused with roasted garlic, fresh ginger, and an aromatic blend of warming spices. Known as one of our hottest and boldest dishes. Served with fragrant basmati rice.
Puli Kulambu : Puli Kulambu is a traditional South Indian, tamarind-based tangy and spicy curry simmered with garlic, shallots, and select vegetables.
RICE :
Vegetable Biryani : An aromatic explosion of flavors. Tender potatoes, carrots, peas, beans, and cauliflower marinated in seasoned chef secret spices & herbs and layered with saffron-infused basmati rice.
DOSA:
Our dosas are crisp, golden-brown rice and lentil crepes served with a side of hot lentil soup (sambar) and fresh coconut and tomato dips.
Classic Masala Dosa : A golden, crispy fermented crepe folded over a spiced, comforting filling of smashed yellow potatoes tempered with mustard seeds, turmeric, onions, and curry leaves.
Mysore Masala Dosa : A crisp crepe lined with a fiery red chili and garlic paste, then filled with the traditional spiced potato mix.
Paper Dosa : An oversized, paper-thin, and perfectly golden crepe stretched extra wide for maximum crunch.
Rava Masala Dosa : A lacy, extra-crunchy crepe made from a quick batter of semolina (cream of wheat), rice flour, and spices, stuffed with potato masala.
Onion Dosa : A modern favorite featuring a crisp crepe loaded with finely chopped caramelized onions.
IDLI & SAMBAR :
Idli : A large, ultra-soft, plate-sized steamed rice and lentil cake. It absorbs flavors deeply and is served piping hot with fresh coconut chutney and hearty vegetable sambar.
Restaurant Special Sambar : A traditional, slow-simmered South Indian lentil stew made with a blend of pigeon peas (toor dal) and fresh garden vegetables. Infused with a house-made sambar masala, tangy tamarind, and a signature tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves, and whole red chilies. Perfect for pairing with idli & dosa.
