March with VegMichigan in Ann Arbor's 4th of July Parade

Details
Join VegMichigan in downtown Ann Arbor to celebrate Independence Day and to promote freedom and justice for all, including farm animals. Walk with us to promote veganism, healthy eating, and kindness. We encourage walkers to wear either veg positive/kid-friendly shirts, buttons, and hats and/or red, white and blue.
We will have a small assortment of animal, fruit/veggie costumes, 4th of July trinkets and decorations, no need to bring anything, but if you have your own costume, please feel free to bring it. Come early to get your favorite! This is a family friendly event and we encourage children to attend as well! Children are invited to participate in a bike decorating contest.
Please plan to arrive by 9:15am (specific location to be added)*. The route is about 1 mile long. It starts at 10am and should finish by 11am. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle. Expect it to be hot, dress appropriately for the weather.
Costumes are optional, positive attitudes are a must! This year we'll also be carrying signs with a few selected messages. If you wish to make your own sign please make sure to check with us first so we can give you the parameters.
Please plan to stick around and we will head over to the University Diag area to refresh with cool drinks and vegan ice cream bars and other treats (this is about 1-2 block walk from the parade finish).
Please view the event website for more detailed information about the parade, including the route, parking, etc: https://annarborwithkids.com/articles/ann-arbor-jaycees-fourth-of-july-parade-tips/
If you have any questions, please contact me at angie@vegmichigan.org.
*Please do your best to arrive before 9:30, there is a liability form that all parade participants need to sign and we need to get it signed and turned in by 9:30.
