Then join us and our vivacious host, Julie, on Wednesday, October 30, starting at 11:30am, for a scintillating Vegan lunch; a pet rescue supply drive for Lost Our Home Pet Rescue; live music with Rachel; and FREE chair massages with Natalie; all at the fabulous Vegan restaurant, Desert Roots Kitchen in Tempe! We'll break bread together and experience the absolute delight of a feast for the mind, body, and soul! So, start preparing your taste buds for the decadent, succulent rainbow of flavors that actually feel therapeutic to eat - a tasty revelation packed into every mouth-watering masterpiece at Desert Roots Kitchen; where we'll experience a fun-filled afternoon featuring Real Food! Pet rescue drive and dog adoptions! Live Music! And Message/bodywork!

For the pet rescue supply drive, collect and drop off items, join us for lunch, or do BOTH! Shop new, thrift, or recycle items from your home, family, friends, and neighbors that the animals can use! There is always a need for food, toys, treats, leashes, and harnesses, among many other items. Please join us and help support a good cause!

Some examples of what to donate:
• Cat, dog, kitten and puppy food, formula, litter, toys, treats, pet beds, cat condos, blankets and towels
• Martingale collars and 6 foot leashes
• Cleaning supplies: dish soap, bleach, disinfectant, sponges, paper towels, etc…
• Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer, toilet paper
• Plastic yogurt cups, paper towel/toilet paper rolls and water bottles are great for animal enrichment projects.

Note: LOH cannot accept sheets, pillows, or opened edible items.

Also at this Event:
Rachel Mari Kimber will be playing and singing music on the patio again. She performs original songs/music via looping her voice, electric cello, guitar, and Native American Flute. Natalie Booth will be offering free chair massages. Both people are gifting their talents to this event pro-bono, therefore contributing gratuity/tips is appreciated and encouraged by event participants.

Desert Roots Kitchen has a beautiful outdoor shaded patio. Allow extra time for parking. Nearby metered parking is $1.50 hr. Covered is by the hour with maximum of $10. The menu changes daily but there will be several options to choose from. Free parking is available on S Farmer Ave (between University Ave and W 5th St).
