Estimated duration: 4 hours with a coffee break
Route type: Loop
Meeting Point: RER B Saint-Remy-la-Chevreuse

Join us for a scenic hike through the beautiful Chevreuse Valley!
Along the way, we’ll pass by La Ferme de Coubertin and enjoy views of two historic castles: Château de Méridon and the magnificent Château de Breteuil, a historic estate closely connected to Charles Perrault, the author of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Puss in Boots.
Perrault was a close friend of Louis de Breteuil, and today the château celebrates this literary heritage with eight fairy-tale scenes set throughout its grounds. A lovely glimpse into the history and imagination of 17th-century France!
We’ll also explore the charming village of Choisel, where we can stop for lunch or enjoy a coffee break.
A note on footwear: The trail includes forest paths and dirt tracks that can become muddy and slippery after rain. Good hiking or trail-running shoes with a grippy sole are recommended.
A lovely day combining nature, history, picturesque villages, and good company!

Participation is donation-based: There is no fixed fee to join the hike. Donations are welcome and help us organise more outdoor adventures together!
