Jeremiah Bishop's Alpine Loop Gran Fondo

Join VeloDCity for the 2017 Alpine Loop Gran Fondo in the beautiful mountains of western Virginia, and West Virginia.

The Shenandoah Mountain Century (104 miles), Shenandoah Mountain Adventure (78 miles), Mt Solon Metric Century (63 miles), and the V (http://alpineloopgranfondo.com/2013/06/19/valley-view-challenge/)alley View Challenge (36 miles) routes take place on all paved surfaces. Riders who participate in these routes will enjoy just a few brief connectors on little dirt roads, over low-water bridges and up country lanes. These short connectors make the experience all the better – and riders won’t need any event-specific equipment to prepare for the road surfaces. Riders in the Shenandoah Mountain Adventure will want to be prepared with appropriate gearing for the smooth, paved mountain climbs.

Throughout its 105 miles, the Alpine Loop route (http://alpineloopgranfondo.com/routes/) features over 11,000 feet of climbing including the smooth paved climb on Virginia Route 33 and two incredible mountainous dirt roads.
