We’ve prepared some exciting talks for the upcoming period. On Wednesday, October 30th, Nemanja and Nenad will share their expertise on the storage, search and visualisation of complex data. Feel free to join us on Wednesday in the Seven Bridges cafeteria (ground floor).

Presenter: Nenad Kuzmanović
Behold the story of data as told by SVG, Canvas, D3.js and JavaScript! To see the secrets hidden in the data, one must know how to look. You will hear about (and see, of course!) the challenges of creating interactive visualizations using the frontend stack, overcoming the imperfections of browsers, data formats, and the Internet. We’ll also talk about visualizing bioinformatic data, how to know if one of your friends is a mutant, the land of Westeros, Varys and Jon Snow.
Nenad’s bio:
Nenad is a Software Engineer with more than seven years of experience in Web development, primarily working in the front-end. Currently he is working as an Engineering Team Lead at Seven Bridges, leading the Visualization team. He is a big fan of JavaScript, TypeScript, Python and Internet Memes.
18:40h: Knowledge Graph
Presenter: Nemanja Vukosavljević
In the second part of the meetup, Nemanja will present the concept and technology supporting a Knowledge Graph at Seven Bridges and how it relates to Big Data. You’ll hear more about graph databases, RDF and other technologies that we use at Seven Bridges to offer a real-time search of various highly connected bioinformatics data.
Nemanja’s bio:
Nemanja is a Software Engineer and Engineering Manager with 10 years of experience and a demonstrated history of working in various industries ranging from telco to biotechnology. Currently he’s the Head of Data Exploration and Visualization department at Seven Bridges working with Big Data and Semantic technologies.
