Our heart lies in the Veluwe, but we love to venture beyond. We believe in making the most of life, and long hikes (+20 km) offer the perfect blend of challenge, connection, and discovery. The further we walk, the more time expands—turning a single day into what feels like a whole journey.

🌲 Enchanting Autumn – Dancing Trees of Speulderbos Loop Hike (27 km)
Location not specified yetThis time we are hiking through the Speulderbos also known as “the forest of dancing trees”. This huge woodland lies in the heart of the Veluwe and is famous for its twisted, ancient oak and beech trees that seem to come alive with every step. Our trail will take us through the most beautiful parts of the forest, including the mysterious Solse Gat, a deep hollow formed during the Ice Age.
🥾 What’s the plan?
We’ll meet in front of Coop supermarket in Garderen. The route will take us through Speulder and Sprielder forests. The trail then leads to the southern edge of the Ermelose Heide, with extensive heaths, and through the village of Speuld to the Houtdorperveld. The last part of the route runs across the moor fields, and we will end up where we started in front of the Coop Supermarket in Garderen.🗺️Route: https://shorturl.at/E9T30
📍When and where to meet?
We’ll meet in front of Coop Supermarket at 12.15. We will start shortly afterwards. Please aim to arrive a little early!

This small fee helps cover the costs of running the Meetup group, supports the time and effort we put into planning the hikes, and helps us to keep organizing more adventures in the future. 🌿
👟 Good to know
● Please only make the payment if you are on the participant list. Payments from the waiting list do not result in participation and will be refunded
● Hike difficulty: Our hikes are moderately challenging. Please only join if you’re confident you can keep up with the group’s pace (5 km/ h)— it’s more fun for everyone when we can walk together without long waits.
● If the pace is too challenging: We may kindly suggest you continue at your own pace. We’ll give you clear directions to the nearest bus or train so you can return comfortably.
● At your own risk: You participate at your own risk, so please make sure you have appropriate insurance coverage for outdoor activities.
● Payment note: With Tikkie we only see initials (e.g., J. Doe instead of John Doe). Please include your Meetup name in the payment note so we can match it easily.
● Friends joining: If you bring a friend, make sure they also register and pay.
● What to bring: Snacks, lunch, and 1–2 liters of water (depending on the hike distance).
