ONE DAY TRAIL WORK TRIP Boronda Trail

Day Trip. Work on the TOP of the Boronda Trail from Timbertop.

CARPOOLING is encouraged. We want to minimize the number of vehicles.

OVERVIEW:

ONE DAY TRIP

WORK on the Boronda Trail. We will meet at Big Sur Station, drive up the North Coast Ridge Road to Timbertop, and work down from there. This will be a good introduction to trailwork.

THE WORK

Use hand tools clear brush, mostly deerweed. Come join us! There is work for all abilities. Beginner to expert. Tools and instruction provided. The work location has minimal poison oak.

MEET: Big Sur Station. In the 10-minute spots out front. Not in the large parking lot further back.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please wear long pants and long sleeved shirts for protection from the brush.

ALL FOOD for the day.

WATER for the entire day. We will not reach the spring which is a source of water.

A DAYPACK for your lunch and water for the day.

Tecnu lotion for poison oak protection if you need it. There is SOME poison oak on this trail.

Your favorite work gloves, safety glasses, loppers, hand saw and hard hat if you have them; otherwise tools and hardhats will be provided.
