OVERVIEW

IMPORTANT: Meetup directions may not be the best. In your mapping program, search for:
39171 Tassajara Road, Carmel Valley, CA 93924
If your mapping program wants you to turn on Cachagua Road from Carmel Valley Road, DON'T. This way takes much longer. Continue on Carmel Valley Road to just past the 23.2 mile marker, then turn right on Tassajara Road. Continue on Tassajara Road until the asphalt road ends. We will meet there to then drive to the trailhead.

THE HIKE IN:
Meet 8am in Jamesburg. We will then drive to a private trailhead which will make the hike shorter and with less elevation gained on the way back.
Hike 7 miles and 2,300 feet of elevation gained to Pine Ridge Camp. In order to get some work in on this trip we will have to hike to camp at a a pace of around 3 hours. We will then set up camp at Pine Ridge Camp before we start brushing locally on the Pine Ridge Trail.
On the second day we will continue brushing, moving West along the trail before hiking back to the trailhead.

THE WORK:
There is work for all experience levels. Tools and instructions will be provided. We will have great ocean views while we work.
What to wear: long sleeve shirt and pants, sturdy closed toe shoe or work boots, sun protection or sunscreen.

Excessive rain will cancel

WHAT TO BRING:
If you have a favorite pair of work gloves, safety glasses, or hard hat then bring them. Otherwise we will provide those along with the tools. Bring all your camping gear and clothes for the one night. A day pack to carry water and your lunch. You may want to bring up to 3 liters for the work day. You will need all your food for two days and one night. There will be water to filter midway on the trail and at camp. Don't forget your long sleeve shirt, pants, work shoes/boots, and sun protection/ sunscreen.
