This performance is rather a mystery. It is listed on Cinemark and on Fathom Events, but not on the Royal Ballet web site. Regardless, this ballet performance will combine first tier ballet with phenomenally great music by Prokofiev. As proof of the music:

Selection from Prokofiev's Romeo and Julliet

It passes my personal test of greatness--raises goosebumps on the back of my neck. Few pieces pass this personal test. But even if you hate ballet, come for the music and just shut your eyes if you must.

When my young daughter was about to see Joan of Arc the movie, she asked if I wanted to go. I said no, after all the heroics she is still burned at the stake. She was mad that I had revealed the end of the movie. So in the interest of transparency, the next paragraph is a spoiler:

Spoiler: things don't turn out well for the young lovers.

From Fathom: The Capulets and Montagues are sworn enemies. Yet it is love at first sight for Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet when they meet each other at the Capulet ball, into which Romeo has snuck. The two fall in love and they profess their devotion to each other at Juliet’s balcony. They secretly get married.

The stakes are raised for the young couple when Romeo avenges the death of his friend Mercutio who has been killed by Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin. For this, Romeo is exiled from Verona. Meanwhile, Juliet’s parents are forcing her to marry another suitor. In order to be together, Romeo and Juliet must risk it all.
