What we’re about
This meetup is intended for big Adventure Motorcycles (BMW, KTM, etc) and people who love to ride and explore off-pavement.
We love to ride, explore, camp, hotel, etc. We plan to run day rides (at least once a month hopefully) and are open to doing multi-day rides too (camping, hotels, etc.). Most rides will start with coffee and a chat and we will always try to plan a mid-day stop for lunch. We will use GPS extensively to gain access to all the best rides.
The group is open to riders of any skill level. We welcome beginners, intermediate riders and experts - especially experts willing to share their knowledge and skills with the group. Each ride we plan will include a detailed explanation of terrain and skill level. The majority of our trips will be fire road-type roads ideal for beginners or intermediate riders.
Things you will need:
1. An adventure motorcycle
2. Gear - Helmet, boots, etc. We follow the ATGATT doctrine (All The Gear All The Time)
3. Water |
4. A positive attitude
Good to have but not 100% necessary:
1. Knobby tires
2. Helmet communicator (Sena, etc.)
3. GPS device
Things we have to support the group:
1. GPS tracks
2. First Aid
3. Tools
4. Satellite communicator and Sat Phone
5. Extensive off-road training and experience
We don't take our egos with us when we ride and are hyper focused on safety and having fun! Please feel free to join our group and come out to ride with us soon!
