Camp Widow Los Angeles (for LGBTQ+ Widows!)

Details
Join me (AJ) at Camp Widow Los Angeles!
Camp Widow is an amazing event for widowed people put on by Soaring Spirits International. When I was widowed in 2020, it was incredibly challenging to find resources for LGBTQ+ widows. When I found Soaring Spirits and attended my first Camp Widow in 2021, there was a tract of workshops just for the queer community -- and that is where I found my people. I have been to three camps now and really recommend it for any LGBTQ+ widow -- whether you are newly widowed or it has been years since you lost your partner.
Finding a community of people who understand makes such a difference!
This one-day camp in Los Angeles is just for our LGBTQ+ widowed community and is going to be an amazing experience.
I will be facilitating the Seasoned Widow track and will be on the panel for the Love After Loss discussion with my partner, G.
From the Soaring Spirits website:
Soaring Spirits is proud to offer our population specific Camp Widow event designed to serve the LGBTQ+ widowed community.
This camp program held in Los Angeles in partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Center will feature workshops, discussions, and resources addressing the unique needs of LGBTQ+ people who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner.
Registration will be open only to members of the LGBTQ+ widowed community, a group of people who have long been under-served in the areas of bereavement and partner loss.
This event requires registration. There are a limited number of spots available, so register now!
