Let’s get outside, move a little, and spend time with other people who also understand just how much loss can change your world.

Join us for a gentle sunset walk along the Port Hueneme waterfront. We’ll meet at Hueneme Wharf Plaza and walk together to the Port Hueneme Lighthouse and back.

There is no agenda and no pressure to share. You can talk about your loss, honor someone you love, walk quietly, chat about everyday life, or simply enjoy being outside with others who are also carrying grief.

You do not need to be at any particular place in your grief, and you do not need to have anything figured out. All losses are welcome.

Please note: This is not a queer-only event. It is queer led and there will be other LGBTQ+ folks there, but it is open to all. I am cross-posting it here, because I know there are plenty of queer folks experiencing grief and who might like to be in a queer-friendly grief space.

The walk is an easy, paved 1.2-mile out-and-back route and is stroller, walker, and wheelchair friendly. Dogs are welcome, but there are lots of feral cats in this area, and I have seen a skunk on the path.

Please bring water and a sweater or jacket in case the evening gets chilly.
