Welcome to the Ventura Hiking Meetup Group for those in their 30s and 40s!
We will be hiking on the weekends in Ventura and surrounding areas. If you enjoy nature, are friendly and can be on time we'd love to meet you!
Please follow these guidelines:
**RSVP on Meetup and include guest's name in the RSVP or message the instructor
**Please edit your RSVP if you know that you cannot attend
**Check the group notifications prior to attending for any updates/changes or communication
**Arrive at trailhead 10 min prior to meet up time to check in, warm up/stretch, and head out on time
**Please stay home if you're not feeling well
**If it rains hiking will be rescheduled and/or we’ll drown our sorrows in pancakes and omelettes

⭐After last year's amazing day on the island, we are going back to Santa Cruz for another amazing hike and picnic.⭐
⚠️⚠️Tickets will sell very fast even 2 months out. Last year we had several people unable to make it because they waited until a few weeks before the meetup to book a ticket. Book your ticket soon! Island Packers Tickets to Santa Cruz
🎟️You need to buy 2 tickets. June 7th, 2025!- OUTBOUND 9:00am Ventura TO Scorpion Cove
- INBOUND 4:00pm Scorpion Cove BACK TO Ventura
- You can also buy a 4:30pm return ticket if need be.
Event Day
- Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time for check-in. That's 8:30am.
- Recommended checklist:
- Like any hike, the weather will probably vary. Bring a light jacket that you can wear in case of mist and wind, but can carry if it gets warmer.
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.😎
- There is a beach we will hang out at, flip flops and a small beach towel might be a good idea.🩴
- Water, snacks, and a lunch! 😄
What kind of hike will we go on?
Relatively easy with some up and down slopes. On one side, lots of rolling hillsides on the island, and bluffs overlooking the ocean on the other side. 🤩
What to pack for lunch? Restrooms?
"Fieldtrip lunch" style works best, like sandwiches, wraps, chips, fruit, etc. There are no services for food on the island. There are public restrooms at the dock.
