Rancho Sierra Vista Hike @ Newbury Park

Let’s continue our weekend hikes with a new location. This time we’ll explore Rancho Sierra Vista in Newbury Park. This area is part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area which has over 600 miles of hiking trails. The hike can be easy or hard depending on which route we take. This location has a number of attractions including a waterfall and an American Indian Cultural Center. The park entrance is at 4121 Potrero Rd. Newbury Park, CA. The exact location we’re meeting in is called the Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa Main Parking Lot which is straight ahead from the park entrance. We’ll meet by the restrooms at this parking lot. The group will wait 20 minutes for anyone running behind before we start our hike.
