Join us for a free weekly expressive writing group every Sunday 1:30-2:30pm (Pacific Time) where we explore the power of the written word in a supportive and welcoming environment. We meet remotely on Zoom, so you can join from the comfort of your own home, whether you prefer to write on your computer or with good old-fashioned pen and paper.
We start each session with 5 minutes of breathing exercises to ground us into a creative and intuitive headspace. Then we'll have 10 minutes of cathartic free-writing, where you write about anything occupying your head and heart-space. For the next 25 minutes, we will delve into a guided writing session with a unique prompt or theme designed to spark your creativity and self-reflection. After the writing portion, you’ll have the optional opportunity to share what you’ve written with the group. This is a chance to be heard and connect with others, but there’s no pressure at all—your comfort is our priority. Expressive writing is a powerful tool for processing thoughts and feelings, gaining self-reflection, and experiencing a sense of catharsis.
