Beyond the Labels: Mental Health and Neurodivergence Peer Support Group

This is a free weekly peer-led support group dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirmative community for all individuals who identify as neurodivergent.
Our core mission is three-fold:
- Destigmatize: To actively challenge and dismantle the stigma associated with neurodivergence and chronic mental health conditions through open, honest sharing and education.
- Support: To provide a non-judgmental platform for peer-to-peer support, where members can share challenges, coping strategies, and resources.
- Celebrate: To recognize and affirm the unique gifts, strengths, and perspectives that come with neurodiversity, shifting the narrative from deficit to distinction.
### What We Are
This is a space for authentic connection and understanding. Whether you identify with ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, chronic anxiety, learning differences, or any other form of neurodivergence, you are welcome here. We focus on the shared experience of navigating a world often not built for our brains.
- Peer-Led: We are not run by licensed therapists. We are a group of individuals supporting each other, focusing on lived experience and shared strategies.
- Affirmative: We believe neurodivergence is a valid, natural variation of the human mind, not a pathology to be cured.
- Holistic: Discussions cover the full spectrum of life: relationships, executive function, sensory experiences, energy management, managing crises, and professional life.
### What We Are Not
To maintain safety and focus, it’s important to clarify boundaries:
- Not Therapy: This group does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We encourage all members to seek professional help as needed.
- No Unsolicited Advice: The focus is on sharing and listening. We commit to supporting each other without attempting to "fix" or offer solutions unless specifically asked.
