Venture Fridays at Red Nova Labs in Westwood KS
Hosted by Venture Lounge
Details
Ready to come out of the entrepreneurial closet and meet like-minds in KC?
Red Nova Labs is pleased and eager to be part of a Midwest startup “uprising” proving that web/tech/app/game/mktg advances and success do not solely happen in the well-funded ‘burbs of Silicon Valley. Being a web/tech/app/game/mktg startup in the Midwest isn’t an easy feat. By bringing knowledge of technology startups to the farmbelt, we hope support a future beyond our own. That’s why we’re hosting “Venture Fridays.”
Venture Fridays is a simple but fun concept: The web/tech/app/game/mktg startup culture of Kansas City and surrounding areas is invited to gather at our private in-office lounge to discuss what we’re all thinking about, working on, needing help with, and might do for each other. Existing or aspiring entrepreneurs in web/tech/app/game/mktg of all types and ages are invited. Let’s raise our glasses to building the entrepreneurial culture beyond ourselves.
Doors are open for this select gathering (officially a “private party”) on Rainbow Boulevard (Westwood KS) 4 to 6 p.m. every other Friday afternoon through August 2011. Who are your hosts? We’re a web marketing metacompany, still whiffing the baby powder of our start in 2009. We work hard, and we play hard. Sometimes Venture Fridays will be co-located with other events, sometimes not. Either way, we’ll be here drinking and thinking. Will you? Drop in.
Entrepreneurs are driven by a need to create something new or build something tangible under conditions of extreme uncertainty. They’re spontaneously creative, able and willing to make decisions from the gut, and generally risk-takers. That said, entrepreneurship is also largely about helping others achieve the goals that they care about—customers, successful entrepreneurs focus on others. Is that you? Are you a driven outsider, possessed of a unique genius, ready to take outrageous risks and work incomprehensible hours to beat the odds? Well then, we like you already. Welcome to the fray.
