Community Choice Energy - Finding Affordable Electricity

Erin Mahan, from SunSpec, will provide an overview of financial incentives available, focusing on EV's, heat pumps, solar, and induction stoves. She will address the future of distributed energy, using the example of IKEA's new plug-in-balcony solar system.
Stephen Cook, from the Sierra Club, will present Community Choice Energy, in which people band together--or aggregate--to increase their marketing clout, save money, and address community energy needs. In a future Arizona, electricity marketplace, CCE could save rate payers money by promoting competition, forcing investor-owned utilities to put consumer interests over those of their investors, and increase the use of clean, relatively inexpensive use of renewable energy.
