Our sharks bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives, which is sure to make for interesting questions and discussion...

Shark #1: Don Scifres | President of SmartFile

Don Scifres is a builder leader who serves as President of SmartFile, a secure file management software company headquartered in Indianapolis. He is also a Co-Founder and General Partner at VisionTech Partners | VisionTech Angels, the largest angel investor community in Indiana, which focuses on investments in information technology, life science, and medical device firms across the Midwest and beyond.

Shark #2: Danielle McDowell | Executive Director of Speak Easy

Danielle is an energetic, results driven leader with a passion for bringing new ideas to market in the high-tech startup space. She is a seasoned entrepreneur with a track record of bringing business ideas from concept to reality and driving growth into enterprise stage. McDowell is now a an entrepreneurial advocate and community liaison for the Speak Easy, a not-for-profit organization designed to allow entrepreneurs to create, collaborate, and learn.

Shark #3 Rosanne Burge | Senior Partner at Elevate Ventures

Rosanne has held a number of leadership positions, most recently as the owner of a management consultancy where she led several key initiatives for clients such as the Hoosier Lottery and the Indiana Department of Revenue. Prior to that, she was involved with several start-up organizations including Collina Ventures, Indigo BioSystems, Oxygen Education and Haverstick Consulting. As Managing Director at Collina Ventures she provided operational and financial expertise to Collina’s members companies. Rosanne has influence measureable success in start-ups by establishing formal processes for recruiting, HR, project management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Shark #4 Erin Sparks | Founder of Site Strategics

Erin Sparks is the founder of Site Strategics, an Indianapolis leader in Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, and Social Media. Site Strategics goal is to bring high-end Web services to business owners in a format and language they can afford and understand. The Indianapolis company’s goal is to not only help its clients look good on the Web but to also help them be found by potential customers.
