Speaker Bio:

Will Burns is a synthetic environment SME with over twenty years of experience within the marketing, design, research, and implementation of virtual and augmented reality. Author of the unified Metaverse definition and structure widely used within the VR and AR industry, former Vice-Chair for IEEE Virtual World Standard group, contributor to the Metaverse Roadmap and having authored the seminal paper on the subject in Association for Computing Machinery entitled 3D Virtual Worlds and The Metaverse; Current Status and Future Possibilities, he has worked alongside titans in the industry including IBM, Atari, NASA, and more while having been the Co-Founder for both VR5 Online and Parallel Worlds in exploration of advanced concepts and applications for both virtual worlds and augmented reality in the spatial computing sector.
