What we’re about
# Vert Count Collective – Game Art Workshops and Events
Welcome to Vert Count Collective, a community for aspiring game artists to develop their craft, connect with others, and gain practical guidance from real industry experience.
I’m Joseph Peña and I have worked in the video game industry for over 17 years as a lead and senior-level character artist, manager, and developer. My career includes the projects Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, multiple NBA2K releases, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
Over that time, I have led teams, managed production pipelines, and mentored artists at every level—from those trying to land their first role to juniors moving into mid-level positions. I’ve also helped people find the right new job when it was time for them to move forward. Helping others reach their goals has always been a part of my work and is what led me to create Vert Count Collective.
