Ropes and Rappelling for Veterans with Service Dogs

Details
This unique 2 day course is designed to get our veterans and their K9 partner outdoors and involved in the challenging and exciting world of the vertical environment. Having the ability to include their working dog will open up a level of adventure that they may have thought was out of their reach.
This course is an introduction to Ropes and Rappelling for any Veteran and their K9 partner. Starting with the basics of knots and rigging, we move into lifts, lowers, rappels and ascending and include self-rescue techniques for the more common problems encountered when working in the vertical environment. Of course safety is the number one priority and no one will be expected to perform beyond their comfort level.
This is a two day course that is conducted at our world class facility near Las Vegas in Pahrump, Nevada.
The course is open to any veteran and their K9 partner, their spouse or significant other and family. All participants must be physically capable of participating, please contact us with any questions.
Cost for the two day course is $200 per participant (no charge for non- participants who attend for moral support. Also no charge for the furry ones). The price includes all necessary climbing and safety equipment, with the exception of the special harness for their Service Dog. (There are many available on the market, we have found that the “Double Back” harness from RUFFWEAR is a good safe and affordable harness.)
Lunches are available on site and food and lodging is plentiful in Las Vegas or nearby Pahrump.
