Details

About the class: This is a monthly hands-on whole foods plant based cooking class, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kernersville, NC. We feature tasty plant based recipes for a balanced diet in regards to protein, fats, and carbohydrates, but also essential phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals.

Discussion topic: TBD

Hands-on Demos: TBD

Suggested Donation: $10-15

Favorite Resources come from the NEWSTART club, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. T. Colin, Campbell, Dr, John McDougall, Hallelujah Acres. We avoid excitotoxins (see Dr. Russell Blaylock). Because of prevalent food sensitivities of people who attend the class, we mostly prepare gluten-free recipes, or at least wheat-free; peanut free options as well. At the end of the demos we taste what we make.

Note: This meetup is open to both church members and non-members, young and old alike, anyone who is serious, interested or at least curios about ways to improve health and endurance by means of "Forks over Knives". We come from a scientific, as well as a Biblical point of view.
Science proves today that the instruction God gave people in the beginning--to eat a whole foods plant based diet (see Genesis 1:29)--is still the best means to prevent and reverse disease. What?, How?. and When? we eat makes a difference to us and the next generation.

To a healthy Triad!
