Meetup for everyone who loves via ferratas! We will post the difficulty in advance for every excursion. Participants are responsible for their own insurance, safety and for bringing the right equipment.
While this is a group with a focus on via Ferrata, since there could be long gaps of inactivity when the conditions are not favourable (e.g. during winter months or with changeable weather forecasts) we may occasionally suggest activities that do not involve climbing a via Ferrata, to keep the group active and socialised.

Planning to do the K4+ Allmenalp via ferrata near Kandersteg.

https://www.allmenalp.ch/en/experience/climbing.htmlThis Via ferrata is a K4+ and is for experienced climbers, comfortable with heights and good stamina. There is a lot of exposure, with iron pegs on a vertical rock face, cable bridges and traverses over a waterfall.
Climbing times: ca. 3 hrs
excluding eating break, approach and descent.
My plan is to go back down with the cable carIf the restaurant at the top is open, we stop for refreshments there; nonetheless bring enough snacks for your needs, in case it is still closed.
