Meet Marie Kelly, the Champagne Cowgirl 🤠✨
If you’ve ever stepped onto a country dance floor in South Orange County, chances are you’ve felt her energy already.

Marie Kelly, widely known as the Champagne Cowgirl, is a cornerstone of the local country western dance scene. She’s a line dance instructor and country DJ with a teaching style that’s warm, upbeat, and especially welcoming for beginners. Marie fell in love with country music and line dancing at just 17 years old, starting out at local clubs, then evolving from participant to performer, instructor, and eventually the leader of the high energy dance group The Bootleggers.

Her Champagne Cowgirl brand reflects exactly who she is, bubbly, crowd moving, and impossible not to smile around. She teaches line dances and two stepping in a way that makes everyone feel confident, even if it’s your very first night on the floor. Her impact runs so deep that a line dance titled “Champagne Cowgirl” was choreographed and dedicated to her by friends in the dance community.

All of this comes together every Tuesday night at Swallows Inn, a legendary no frills dive bar directly across from the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano. This spot is a true local institution, known for its authentic cowboy vibe, eclectic memorabilia covered walls and ceilings, friendly crowds, generous pours, and a small but electric dance floor that brings ranchers, locals, tourists, cowboys, and dancers together.

His voice, looping skills, harmonica, and guitar create a full band feel even when he is solo. Based in Orange County, Danny is a polished professional with a strong work ethic, an easygoing presence, and a talent for connecting deeply with audiences through songs they are hearing for the first time or old favorites they forgot they loved.

✨ Varghon TV, Christopher McCarthy
Christopher is a classically trained cellist with the creativity of a modern arranger and performer. He blends traditional cello with looping, effects, and rhythmic bowing that brings a cinematic feel to every song. Whether he is playing emotional lines, building intricate layers live, or adding electric cello textures to well known covers, he elevates each performance with precision and feeling. Christopher is also a Twitch music streamer, teacher, and collaborator who brings a unique sound you do not hear often in bar venues.

Together, Danny Maika and Varghon turn Black Knight into a live music lounge with heart, texture, and real musicianship.
