Educational Walk - Bird Watching in Washington Grove
Details
Join us for bird watching in Washington Grove, an old growth forest at Cobb's Hill. Nestled behind the reservoir atop Cobb’s Hill is a beautiful grove of giant old oaks, named Washington Grove after our first President. Our benevolent guide from "The Bird House" (Monroe Ave.) will talk about, and identify wild birds, and more. It's prime nesting season, so remember to bring binoculars!
2:00 p.m.
Park on Reservoir Road at the east end of the reservoir under the pines. Look for the "Friends of Washington Grove" sign.
GPS: 43.139188, -77.569308
4:00 p.m. (optional)
We will likely visit a local watering hole for food, liquid refreshment, and camaraderie. The location will be announced as the date approaches.
