Work Party at Lehigh Crossing Park 7350 Víctor-Mendon Rd Vic

We will work along the pond shoreline, on the east side of the pond, close to the boardwalk . We will be cutting down the phragmites in the area of the wooden bench closest to the pond shore. I use a number of sites to try stay current with how this invasive may be controlled. This is a site I trust from The Nature Conservancy:

I also recently read that all parts of the phragmites is edible for humans (of course I AM NOT SUGGESTING ANYONE SHOULD DO SO!) But food for thought, pardon the pun.
Please wear sturdy, preferably waterproof boots, work gloves, wear insect repellent bring drinking water for yourself. Clippers or loppers may be helpful. I will have hand tools available for use. Park in the parking lot or drive up to the pond near my car where I make sure there is solid ground.
