Meet A Stranger

Details

Finding commonality through connection - one conversation at a time.

Join us Saturday, May 17th at 2:15 pm at the Fairfield Gonzales Community Place for a one hour platonic conversation.

A gentle reminder that this is a scent-free event. Thank you for your collaboration.

Participants will be asked to drop their name in a jar. Pairings will be done by drawing names from these jars, right after a short intro from the facilitators.

Please be there by 2:15pm. Participants arriving late may not be able to join.

Location
We are so thrilled to be sponsored by the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association for this event. Still, if you are able to, we strongly encourage you to come dressed according to the weather (and bring an umbrella) to allow you to step outside for the hour, as there’s nothing like the inspiration of the outdoors to help connect with a stranger. Anyone preferring to stay indoors will be most welcome to grab a chair and chat in the Arbutus and Sequoia rooms.

Survey
We know a lot can happen in a one-hour conversation with a stranger, so we created this short survey to help us understand your experience better and improve future events. Your feedback is invaluable to us.

Release
We are facilitating these gatherings to contribute to building a healthy community in which we get to know other community members regardless of their age, gender, or social background. By agreeing to participate, you understand the risks involved and you do not hold Jacinthe, Carrie, and the Meet a Stranger project responsible for any harm that might arise.
