Mt. Work loop (with awesome views!)

This is a very pretty loop of about 9-10km with lots of steep ups and downs. Meet at the Munn Rd. entrance to Mt. Work Regional Park at 9:30am. This will be a medium-paced hike
*Including breaks for lunch/snacks and photo ops, expect to be out 4-5 hours. Pace will depend on the group.* This route involves a fair bit of uphill and negotiating rocky areas - and great views! From Munn Rd. we'll go up the summit trail partway and then take a sidetrack to explore a bouldery area before we find beautiful views directly above Hartland bike park. Then we'll intersect with the main summit trail again and go back down the west side via trails in the newer extension areas of the park.

Bring lunch/snacks, water, and layered clothing. (The 10 Essentials are always recommended!)

*You can pay the 2026 yearly membership fee of $30 via e-transfer to victoriaoutdoorclub@gmail.com or in person. *Drop in fee is $2 and you can drop in for up to 3 events before becoming a member. Everyone needs to sign the waiver once in 2026 at their first event of the year. I will have copies on hand at the event. *Please see the posting on our meetup site about membership for 2026.

*Well-behaved dogs are welcome - please post on the wall if you're bringing a dog so we know who to expect :-)
