Weds. night mystery hikes at PKOLS (Mt. Doug)

Hello hikers,

*Weeknight hikes in April will take place at PKOLS (Mt. Doug)*
Come join us for an approximately 6-8 km "mystery" loop hike. Times listed are approximate.
*Meet at the waterfront parking lot for Mt. Doug - 4501 Cordova Bay Rd - near the washrooms. Please be 5-10 minutes early (especially if you need to sign the waiver).
For the first week, we will do a loop around Mt. Doug and likely summit Little Mt. Doug. The hike will take around 2-2.5 hours maximum.

This is a moderate-paced hike with easy sections, very muddy sections, and more challenging sections of steep roots & rocks. Please wear sturdy hiking boots or shoes - and prepare for mud! :-)
Bring snacks, water, layered clothing, and a light or headlamp (we will be coming back well before dark but it's good to be prepared).

You can purchase your yearly VOC membership ($25) at the event or through e-transfer to our email at victoriaoutdoorclub@gmail.com. Drop in fee is $2.
Anyone who hasn't already needs to read and sign the club waiver once yearly. I will have copies on hand at the event!
*IF you are not able to come, reservations close at noon the day of the hike - if you can't come, please take your name off the list so someone else can. If you are on the waitlist, it's a good idea to check if you've been added before you leave work/home for the hike! (The system adds people last minute). It is unlikely we will ever get 20 people on a hike, but I've set this limit as we do get last-minute cancellations.
*Please make sure you have your meetup profile set up with our club before attending an event. We use the meetup profiles to keep track of who has signed their waiver for 2026.
*Well-behaved dogs are welcome- please post on the event wall if you plan to bring a dog
