What we’re about

This is a group for anyone that struggles with social anxiety and the isolation that comes with it. Our intent is to build up a community of individuals who are looking to form connections with those in similar situations. The goal of the group is to meet and connect with others in various small and social activities. We are interested in partaking and enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking, hiking, etc., as well as meeting up for coffee, lunches, dinners, and board games nights! All ages welcome! We understand that It can be difficult sometimes to join activities or social groups due to the challenges associated with social anxiety, but we would love to have you and build this community together!

  1. Treat everybody with respect, kindness, and inclusion. EVERYBODY. We are all different and that’s what makes us who we are. We all deserve to be treated as equals.

  2. If you ever have an issue with another member who is not respecting you or your boundaries (or those of another member), whether online or at/after events, please bring it to the attention of the group’s organizers (Ryann and/or Gordo) or to one of our Event Organizers. We will do everything we can to resolve the situation, first by gathering all the facts and then up to and including removing members who continue to engage in abusive or unwanted behaviour.

  3. If you have any ideas, whether for online or in-person events or for other ways to make the group better, please let us know! You can post them in the ‘Discussions’ tab on our group’s homepage or message us directly. If you’d like to host events, even if it's just one, also let us know!
