Design Your Business (the sequel)

Starting or growing a business, side hustle, non-profit, or community project doesn’t have to be lonely or overwhelming. It can be creative, collaborative, practical, and energizing.

After the energy of last year’s Design Your Business Jam, we’re gathering again for a fresh follow-up session designed to help people move ideas forward in community. This year’s event will build on the spirit of last year’s jam, while offering a new mix of activities, conversations, and creative tools.

Although this is a "sequel," we will make it accessible for new attendees as well, so please come either way!

Whether you’re nurturing the seed of a business idea, running something already, exploring a side hustle, rethinking a challenge, or simply wondering what might be next, this session is for you.

You don’t need a polished plan or a perfect pitch. Bring a question, an idea, a challenge, a possibility, or even just a hunch that something is worth exploring.

This won’t be a lecture. It will be a hands-on, welcoming space for entrepreneurs, side-hustlers, and changemakers to think out loud, sketch possibilities, get feedback, make connections, and leave with more clarity about what to do next.

Together, we’ll use creative collaboration and Design Thinking to explore questions like:

• What am I really trying to build or change?
• Who is this for, and what do they need?
• What opportunities are worth exploring?
• What small next step could help me learn, test, or move forward?
